Senior Enrichment Programs
Engage
in physical and artful activities designed to enhance the quality and
enjoyment of life.
Classes:
Pottery
- (6 weeks) Learn the basics in handbuilding pottery. Students will
create unique clay projects
that will be glaze painted, kiln fired and taken home.
Art Sampler - (6 weeks) Offers participants an opportunity to increase in mental
acuity, fine motor skills,
creativity, and art appreciation. Painting, drawing, printing and working in
clay. All skill levels
welcome.
Movement for Improvement - (3 consecutive 2 week classes)
These classes are designed specifically for our participants’ abilities
and special needs are
taken into consideration by the instructor.
T’ai Chi Ch’uan - These movements are designed to promote good
(robust) health, mindful
living, and a joyful way of being in the body and in the natural world.
Yoga - Gentle and restorative yoga movements and meditation will help energize
and refresh
your spirit and overall sense of well-being. Relaxing music and peaceful surroundings
will
inspire you.
Middle Eastern Belly Dancing - This class is suitable for all body types as
well as those with
two left feet! You will relax, laugh and move in ways that will energize you
from the inside out.
